Treatment of armpit perspiration by means of local aspiration |
|   |
This technique is comparable to liposculpture with a needle, but is lighter.
After the zones to be treated have been traced and marked using the Minor test, a local anaesthesia is carried out.
A 3 millimetre thin canula, which is connected to a syringe, is inserted under the derm at the sweat-glands. The sweat-glands and their entire structure are aspirated, as is the case with fat cells during a liposuction!
A pressure bandage is used for 24 hours.
The degree to which someone is treated depends of course on the seriousness of the case.

What are the most common side-effects ?
Ecchymosis, light pain or a feeling of discomfort can occur, but are very seldom.
Haematomae, seromes, infection, temporary problem of the local sensitivity of the skin, and an injured axillary plexus, all these are theoretically possible complications, but in practice one does not see them.

How does the result progress ?
| |
|   | |
Depending on the degree of improvement which is wanted, colour-tests after one month show that the original secretion goes down by 80 to 90%.
| |
|   | |
Literature describes very rare cases in which the secretion temporarily increases. This effect disappears after a few months, after which the final result is achieved. | |
|   | |
Although, in most cases, the result is achieved after a few days, one must sometimes wait for a few months to obtain complete satisfaction, as the post-operative fibrosis completes the action on the remaining active glands. In case sudation persists, it is always possible to finish the work begun.
| |
|   | |
The experience gained over the years confirm until now the permanent nature of the results.
